- Quality Improvement Program
Ped-I-Care is committed to ensuring that your child receives the best care possible. To accomplish this, we've recruited a wide variety of Primary Care Physicians, Specialists, and other providers from both private practice and the top academic facilities in our area. Ped-I-Care's Quality Improvement Program works with our providers to assess the care they provide to our members, and where applicable, to make suggestions for improvement. Our goal is to help them provide the highest quality care possible.
Ped-I-Care's Quality Improvement nurses visit our providers at least once every two years. We review medical records to ensure quality care is provided to our members. We look to see if members have had their well-child visits, if immunizations are up-to-date, and if follow-up care has been provided. We also review the location to make sure the waiting and exam areas are safe for children. We then report back to the provider thanking them for providing care to our members and pointing out where we think improvements can be made.
The Quality Improvement department also responds to member or provider complaints by working with our Member Services and Provider Relations departments to investigate complaints and address and resolve issues or concerns.
The 2008 Quality Assurance report is available here.
